About this hotel

If you’d like to experience Sydney without staying right in the middle of the busy CBD, Meriton Suites Waterloo is a really lovely option. The hotel is set on a quiet corner overlooking the beautiful fig trees of Moore Park, and you’re only about three kilometres from the city, so it’s peaceful yet incredibly convenient.

From here, it’s easy to explore Sydney’s major sights using public transport — places like Darling Harbour, The Rocks and the Sydney Opera House are all within easy reach. Closer to home, guests love wandering through Surry Hills, visiting the Carriageworks Farmers’ Market, or enjoying a relaxed day at Centennial Park. And if you’re chasing the coast, the Eastern Suburbs beaches, including Bondi Beach, are simple to get to.

If you’re in town for a concert or sporting event, the location is ideal. The Entertainment Quarter is within walking distance, and you’re close to major venues like Sydney Cricket Ground and Allianz Stadium. For conferences or exhibitions, our Guest Services team can easily arrange transport to ICC Sydney.

Suites and layout

Each suite has a maximum number of guests permitted to stay overnight, based on existing bedding configurations, as outlined below:

• Studio Suites: up to 2 guests
• One Bedroom Street Suites: up to 2 guests
• One Bedroom Suites: up to 2 guests
• Two Bedroom Suites: up to 4 guests
• Three Bedroom Park Suites: up to 6 guests

Studio Suites are 43 square metres. 1 Bedroom Street Suites are 52 square metres. 1 Bedroom Suites are 52 square metres. 2 Bedroom Suites are 99 square metres. 3 Bedroom Park Suites are 175 square metres.

Studio Suites located on levels 4 to 14. 1 Bedroom Street Suites all located on the ground level. 1 Bedroom Suites located on levels 4 to 14. 2 Bedroom Suites located on levels 4 to 13. 3 Bedroom Park Suites located on levels 14 to 15.

• All suite types have a balcony.
• Bathtubs are available in our 3 Bedroom Park Suites with only some of the Studio, 1 Bedroom and 2 Bedroom Suites having a bathtub.
• Select suites offer a study desk, while all suites will include a dining table suitable for working.

Parking

• Once reception validates your ticket, you’ll be able to come and go as you like during your stay. It’s valid for one vehicle and just needs to be used in order each time you enter and exit.
• The car park has a clearance of 2.1 metres. We do recommend checking the signage at the entrance for any specific height restrictions.
• Onsite parking is available at $35 per vehicle, per night, should you wish to add it to your stay.
• we do have an EV charging station at this hotel. It is operated by Wevolt. Please note that you may need to download their app and have an active account and payment method set up to use the charger. As mobile phone reception can be limited in underground car parks, we recommend setting this up before entering the car park.
• we do have onsite parking available for our hotel guests.
• street parking is available on both Danks Street and Crescent Street near the hotel. Please note that this is paid street parking and subject to local council restrictions.
• You’ll find the car park entrance on Danks Street.

Pool and wellness

• Don’t forget to pack your swimwear, as each one of our properties has an indoor heated swimming pool, spa and sauna.
• We offer one swimming pool at the hotel - an indoor, heated pool available for guests to enjoy year-round. The pool is located offsite on the ground floor, approximately a 2-minute walk from the hotel.
• Unfortunately, the hotel does not provide pool towels in the aquatic area. Guests are asked to bring the towels from their suite when using the pool facilities.
• our pool is heated to a comfortable 25 degrees Celsius for your enjoyment.
• 6 am until 10 pm daily
• Our swimming pool is 25 metres in length. The pool facility is located offsite on the ground floor, approximately a 2-minute walk from the hotel. Our team at reception can provide directions and issue a pool access pass.

• Our gym is open 24 hours a day.
• Our gym is fully equipped with a range of cardio machines, including treadmills, ellipticals, stationary bikes, and rowing machines, along with weight machines and free weights.

Facilities

• The gym is located offsite on the ground floor, around a 2-minute walk from the hotel, and includes cardio equipment and machine weights. Reception can provide directions and a gym access pass if required.
• We always aim to keep our photos and descriptions up to date, however facilities can sometimes be upgraded, changed, or temporarily unavailable. If there’s something important to you, it’s best to check with the hotel before booking to ensure it will be available during your stay. Subject to Australian Consumer Law, Meriton Suites isn’t liable for changes or temporary unavailability of facilities, and not all facilities apply to every suite type.

Getting around and local area

There are several dining options within a short walking distance of the hotel. Two popular nearby restaurants include Noble Roasters, which is about a 3-minute walk away, and Johnny Gio’s, located approximately 2 minutes from the hotel. Our hotel team would be happy to provide directions if needed.

If you’re looking for a coffee nearby, Milk Crate and Two Barristers are both excellent options and are located around a 2-minute walk from the hotel.

The nearest supermarket is Coles, located within the nearby shopping centre, approximately a 2-minute walk from the hotel.

The closest bottle shop is The Bottle Stop Waterloo, which is about a 2-minute walk away.

The nearest pharmacy is Danks Street Discount Pharmacy, also located approximately 2 minutes from the hotel.

If you’re looking for a pub to enjoy a drink, the Moore Park View Hotel is around a 5-minute walk from the hotel.

The bond amount depends on the suite type booked, as follows: Studio Suite is $100. 1 Bedroom Street Suite is $100. 1 Bedroom Suite is $100. 2 Bedroom Suite is $200. 3 Bedroom Park Suite is $400.

Laundry

Yes, this service is available for an additional charge, depending on the items. It is a same-day service, operating 7 days a week. Items must be dropped at Reception by 9 am and will be returned by 5 pm.
