If you’re looking for modern city living right in the heart of Melbourne, Meriton Suites Melbourne is a fantastic choice. Located on King Street, just moments from Bourke and Little Collins Streets, you’re perfectly positioned to explore the CBD on foot or jump on Melbourne’s iconic trams.

We’re one of the newest Meriton Suites hotels, offering spacious, apartment-style suites that feel like a home away from home. Whether you’re travelling solo, as a couple, with family, or in a group, you’ll love the comfort of full kitchens, in-suite laundry and generous living space. After a big day out, you can unwind in a plush king bed and enjoy streaming your favourite shows.

Shopping, dining, galleries, theatres and Melbourne’s famous coffee scene are all right outside your door, and sports lovers will appreciate how close we are to major venues like Marvel Stadium and the MCG. Southern Cross Station is just a short walk away, making airport access easy via SkyBus.

When you’re ready to relax, enjoy our indoor heated pool, spa, sauna and fitness centre, with our friendly Guest Services team available 24 hours a day to help with anything you need.

Suites and layout

Each suite has a maximum number of guests permitted to stay overnight, based on existing bedding configurations, as outlined below:

  • Three Bedroom Bayview Penthouse Suites: up to 6 guests

Mini Studio Suites are 31 square metres. Studio Suites are 37 square metres. 1 Bedroom Suites are 48 square metres. 1 Bedroom Altitude Suites are 43 square metres. 2 Bedroom Suites are 68 square metres. 3 Bedroom Altitude Suites are 99 square metres. 1 Bedroom Accessible Suites are 31 to 99 square metres. 3 Bedroom Bayview Penthouses are 131 square metres.

  • Unfortunately the Melbourne Hotel does not have balconies in any of its suites.
  • Bathtubs are only available in our 3 Bedroom Suites.
  • All 3 Bedroom Suites and Penthouses - with the exception of some 1 Bedroom and 2 Bedroom Suites - have a study desk.

Parking

  • Once reception validates your ticket, you’ll be able to come and go as you like during your stay. It’s valid for one vehicle and just needs to be used in order each time you enter and exit.
  • The car park has a clearance of 1.9 metres. We do recommend checking the signage at the entrance for any specific height restrictions.
  • Offsite parking is available at $40 per vehicle, per night, should you wish to add it to your stay.
  • Unfortunately, this hotel does not currently offer an EV charging station onsite. Our Front Desk team will be happy to assist you in locating charging facilities nearby. Alternatively, if you have an EV charging app, it should be able to show you the closest charging station to the hotel.
  • We don’t have on-site parking, but we do offer a discounted $40 per night rate at a nearby Secure parking station. Our Guest Services team can provide directions and the access code.
  • There is paid street parking available along King Street, though guests should be mindful of the parking restrictions and time limits. For arrivals and departures, we usually recommend using the rear access at 24 Gallaghers Place, which is more convenient for short stops.
  • You’ll find the offsite car park entrance on Bourke Street.

Pool and wellness

  • Don’t forget to pack your swimwear, as each one of our properties has an indoor heated swimming pool, spa and sauna. Our Broadbeach, Southport and Surfers Paradise hotels on the Gold Coast, as well as our Church Street hotel in Parramatta also feature an additional outdoor pool and sun deck.
  • We offer one swimming pool at the hotel - an indoor, heated pool available for guests to enjoy year-round.
  • complimentary towels are provided in the pool area for your comfort and convenience.
  • Our swimming pool is 17 metres in length.
  • our pool is heated to a comfortable 27 degrees Celsius for your enjoyment. The pool is located on Level 2 of the hotel.
  • 5 am until 10 pm daily

Gym

  • Our gym is open 24 hours a day.
  • Our gym is fully equipped with a range of cardio machines, including treadmills, ellipticals, stationary bikes, and rowing machines, along with weight machines and free weights.
  • The hotel gym includes a range of equipment such as free weights, cable machines, treadmills, and a cross trainer. The gym is located on Level 2, alongside the pool area.

Facilities

  • During your stay, you will have access to our indoor pool, spa, sauna, and gym.
  • We always aim to keep our photos and descriptions up to date, however facilities can sometimes be upgraded, changed, or temporarily unavailable. If there’s something important to you, it’s best to check with the hotel before booking to ensure it will be available during your stay. Subject to Australian Consumer Law, Meriton Suites isn’t liable for changes or temporary unavailability of facilities, and not all facilities apply to every suite type.

Getting around and local area

There are quite a few great dining options close to the hotel. For breakfast, many guests enjoy Higher Ground or The Grain Store, both very popular local cafés.

For lunch or dinner, some nearby options include Henry and the Fox, Kings Hotel, Rare Steakhouse, Cha Ching, Il Mercato Centrale, SSAM Korean BBQ, Max on Hardware, Mitre Tavern, and Palermo. All are within easy walking distance.

Closest coffee shop The closest coffee option is Project Zero, which is located in the laneway just outside the hotel entrance.

Closest convenience store There is a 7-Eleven located on the corner of Bourke Street and King Street, directly across from the hotel. It’s about a 2-minute walk, roughly 100 metres.

Closest bottle shop The nearest bottle shop is Bottlemart, located on the corner of Little Collins Street and King Street, around 100 metres from the hotel. They’re open 9am to 11pm daily. If you’re looking for a larger selection, Liquorland on Spencer Street, next to Coles, is about a 9-minute walk from the hotel.

Closest pharmacy The nearest pharmacy is Chemist Warehouse, located right next to the hotel with the entrance on Bourke Street. It’s about a one-minute walk.

Closest pub for a drink The closest pub is the Kings Hotel, which is just a short walk from the hotel.

Closest supermarket The nearest supermarket is Coles, located on Spencer Street at the corner of Lonsdale Street, about an 8-minute walk (500 metres) from the hotel. It’s open daily from 6am to 11pm.

The closest train station is Southern Cross Station, approximately a 5-minute walk from the hotel.

There are several city supermarkets located within close proximity to the hotel, and our team will be happy to direct you to the most convenient option.

The bond amount depends on the suite type booked, as follows: Mini Studio Suite is $100. Studio Suite is $100. 1 Bedroom Suite is $100. 1 Bedroom Altitude Suite is $100. 2 Bedroom Suite is $200. 3 Bedroom Altitude Suite is $400. 1 Bedroom Accessible Suite is $100. 3 Bedroom Bayview Penthouse is $2000.

Laundry

We don’t have dry cleaning services on-site, but we’d be happy to recommend a nearby service.
