Guests love the sense of elevation here. Our Altitude Suites, positioned high above the city on levels 65 to 74, offer a beautiful perspective by day and a sparkling cityscape at night. For something extra special, the Penthouse Collection sits on the very top floor, wrapped in floor-to-ceiling windows for uninterrupted, panoramic views.

The location makes getting around Brisbane effortless. Roma Street Station is close by, giving you easy access to trains, buses and airport connections. Many guests also enjoy exploring on foot or hopping on the free CityHopper ferry to visit South Bank Parklands, the Gallery of Modern Art, or dining precincts like Howard Smith Wharves and Fortitude Valley.

The suites themselves are generous in size and designed for comfort, making them ideal for business travellers, families or groups. Each suite has a maximum number of guests permitted to stay overnight, based on existing bedding configurations, as outlined below:

• Standard Suites: up to 2 guests
• One Bedroom Suites: up to 2 guests
• Two Bedroom Suites: up to 4 guests
• Two Bedroom Altitude Suites: up to 4 guests
• Three Bedroom Altitude Suites: up to 6 guests
• Penthouse Collection Suites: up to 6 guests

Standard Suites are 41 square metres. 1 Bedroom Suites are 55 square metres. 2 Bedroom Suites are 72 square metres. 2 Bedroom Altitude Suites are 88 square metres. 3 Bedroom Altitude Suites are 104 square metres. 3 Bedroom Parkland Penthouse is 200 square metres. 3 Bedroom South Bank Penthouse is 200 square metres.

• Unfortunately the Herschel Street Hotel does not have balconies in any of its suites.
• All of our 2 and 3 Bedroom Altitude Suites as well as Penthouse Suites - with the exception of some Standard Suites, 1 Bedroom Suites and 2 Bedroom Suites - have a study desk.

Parking

• Once reception validates your ticket, you’ll be able to come and go as you like during your stay. It’s valid for one vehicle and just needs to be used in order each time you enter and exit.
• The car park has a clearance of 2.1 metres. We do recommend checking the signage at the entrance for any specific height restrictions.
• Onsite parking is available at $45 per vehicle, per night, should you wish to add it to your stay.
• Unfortunately, this hotel does not currently offer an EV charging station onsite. Our Front Desk team will be happy to assist you in locating charging facilities nearby. Alternatively, if you have an EV charging app, it should be able to show you the closest charging station to the hotel.
• we do have onsite parking available for our hotel guests.
• You’ll find the car park entrance on Herschel Street.

Pool and wellness

• Don’t forget to pack your swimwear, as each one of our properties has an indoor heated swimming pool, spa and sauna. Our Broadbeach, Southport and Surfers Paradise hotels on the Gold Coast, as well as our Church Street hotel in Parramatta also feature an additional outdoor pool and sun deck.
• We offer one swimming pool at the hotel - an indoor, heated pool available for guests to enjoy year-round.
• Unfortunately, the hotel does not provide pool towels in the aquatic area. Guests are asked to bring the towels from their suite when using the pool facilities.
• our pool is heated to a comfortable 29 degrees Celsius for your enjoyment.

Gym

• Our gym is open 24 hours a day.
• Our gym is fully equipped with a range of cardio machines, including treadmills, ellipticals, stationary bikes, and rowing machines, along with weight machines and free weights.

Facilities

• During your stay, you will have access to our indoor pool, spa, sauna, and gym.
• We always aim to keep our photos and descriptions up to date, however facilities can sometimes be upgraded, changed, or temporarily unavailable. If there’s something important to you, it’s best to check with the hotel before booking to ensure it will be available during your stay. Subject to Australian Consumer Law, Meriton Suites isn’t liable for changes or temporary unavailability of facilities, and not all facilities apply to every suite type.

Getting around and local area

The closest train station is Roma Street Station, approximately a 4-minute walk from the hotel.

There is a Woolworths supermarket conveniently located on Tank Street, a short 3-minute walk from the hotel.

Bond

The bond amount depends on the suite type booked, as follows: Standard Suite is $100. 1 Bedroom Suite is $100. 2 Bedroom Suite is $200. 2 Bedroom Altitude Suite is $200. 3 Bedroom Altitude Suite is $400. 3 Bedroom Parkland Penthouse is $2000. 3 Bedroom South Bank Penthouse is $2000.

Laundry

Yes, this service is available for an additional charge, depending on the items. It is a same-day service, operating Monday to Friday. Items must be dropped at Reception by 9 am and will be returned by 6 pm.
